'La Folie' is in the middle of the village of La Guiche, set in one acre of landscaped gardens, containing an abundance of established trees, including fruit trees and a fish pond.

The villa comprises 3 levels

The lower ground level contains a cellar, storage room and laundry, with washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities.

The ground floor contains the kitchen, toilet and a large open plan dining and sitting room with French doors providing access to the terrace overlooking the garden.

The first floor comprises two bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom (toilet, shower and wash basin). Each bedroom has French windows and the master bedroom has a small balcony.

What is provided

Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher, combined gas/electric stove, range hood, microwave, coffee plungers, new crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. There is a small breakfast table with 4 chairs. Soap powders and scourers are provided. Please use and replace when you leave.

There are basic condiments and non-perishables in the pantry. Please use and replace when finished.

The Sitting/Dining Room

The sitting room contains two comfortable couches and armchairs. There is a round dining table.

The TV is linked to a VCR and has satellite reception to English channels and with a flick of a switch on the rear of the set, all free to air French channels are available.

The terrace outside overlooks the garden and valley. It has table and chairs for morning coffee and croissants.

The laundry

The laundry has a washing machine, clothes dryer, iron and ironing board. Washing powders and softeners are available. Please use and replace when you leave.

There is a clothes line outside the laundry.

The bedrooms

There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed (which can be split into two singles), an ensuite bathroom and balcony. The second bedroom has a double bed and ensuite bathroom. There is a single foldaway bed in the cupboard. Each bedroom has two sets of bed linen, doonas and towels. Each bedroom has bedside drawers, reading lamps and wardrobes.

Bathrooms

Each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom containing a toilet, shower and wash basin with vanity mirrors. Bath mats and towels are provided for each bathroom.

Downstairs toilet

There is a downstairs toilet and washbasin, off the entrance hall.

Garden Area

There is a large grassy garden next to the house which has a fish pond and cherry tree which fruits in June/July. There is a range of garden furniture to relax in the shade and enjoy the bird life - even squirrels.
